My first MKG blog ya.....and to help continue SY's reporting....here's my side of the updates:

For the younger kid, i think it is more difficult to pen down their thoughts...guess it is hard to copy because of our funny handwritings....haha.....this gal took 5 min to think and decide not to leave any words.....hahaa.....



Here's the kind ice-cream man who supplied us with the ice-cream and we also had the ice-cream Yum Sheng!



As you can see...it is not easy to man the reception area...esp when the groom has special instructions.....hehee.....we need to explain to the guests why we need to snatch their angbaos before they put into the box and write their table numbers on the angbaos......aiyah after a while...the bride side sisters din bother to explain....hahaa.....

The long awaited Uncle's BIG day!

The wedding of our dearest uncle Hak Yee is finally over!! Uploading some photos that I have, but then they look quite blur... heh. Pardon the lousy quality. Do not expect proper english too.

This is uncle's wedding car. 4D anyone? Taken outside jx's hse. The red car behind the wedding car is yk's.

Nervous uncle waiting for his door to be opened. He was so nervous that he didn't even wind down the window as we tried to talk to him when he was in the car. We had to sign to him.

Playing the games thrown out by the Jie Meis. Dunno why uncle is looking at me. Think looking for ideas as to what songs to sing. But hoh! I don't go KTV. Haha. Sorry uncle! Can't help you out there. Aiyah! Could have suggested Mayday's 恋爱ing!!! ALAS. See la! You make me also kan cheong.


This was when uncle is supposed to act out the proposal scene of him proposing to jx. Albert is acting as jx.

After all the gate crashing, uncle is standing outside his bride's door, waiting to see her.

Oh this is taken after the tea ceremony at jx's house. Their wedding bands.

By this time we were pretty tired. This was the room number for the helpers' room.

This was the nice bed before me, peyy and yk tumbled into.

After our nap. Haha. Messy. Very boliao! Guess whose big backside?

We headed downstairs for briefing by uncle. This was the ballroom. It was a flurry of activity.

Too bad I didn't manage to get a shot of Albert with 5 ice cream lotis. Haha. He very kindly sponsored us with ice creams, while getting Subway for our hungry mother, his wife. The 5 are for: himself, yk, peyy, py and me! Yum yum!

Ok these are all the photos in my camera! Was having a headache after the nap, so not much photos since. Peyy snored abit and was disturbing my rest! Yk and Albert were also complaining of headaches during the dinner. Haha. We must really admit that we are old le. Cannot sleep too little and work too much. For more, we must wait for Lambird to upload. Haha.

heehee....hello, everyone!! mi first post wor...

secretly brought in mi laptop & mobile boardband...kekeke...looking through the old photos we had, so memorable... & indicate one fact....WE ARE OLD!!!! hahaha....

anyway, is rilly a sudden change in mi life... from single to married to being a mother!! & I am giving birth in a few mths' time... hahaha...

anyway, sc & hm...heard from mothers tat u can start to drink coconut in the last 2 mths of ur pregnancy...to ensure smooth delivery & nice, beautiful bb's skin...

Just For Uncle Hak Yee

Well in case you still got the nerves now and having butterflies in your stomach, and wondering how to calm down? Just think of this: You chose the day that millions of others in the world and Singapore are taking JLPT, CFA and running StanChart Marathon, to be your big day.

Think of it this way:
All of them can fail, but yours will never fail, cos Hak Yee and Jiaxiu were meant for each other. So no need to worry whether got any cock ups or not, cos those things are trivial compared to your everlasting love. Isn't that right? =D

Ok back to burning my Jap notes and drinking the ashes in water.

Batam trip

It was a very fun and memorable 2D2N trip! We were blessed with good weather, despite the going during the monsoon season. Tried alot of things for the first time during this trip.

1) Jet ski
2) Banana boat
3) Full body scrub + massage (indulgent 2.5 hrs)
4) Jacuzzi
5) Sauna

Other things that we did:
1) Kayak
2) Go kart
3) Pool
4) Of course 2 dinners worth of seafood!

During the banana boat ride, we had a lot of trouble climbing back up the boat after falling into the sea. Haha. We fell only twice and we were dead tired after the 2nd time! After that, we went kayaking for 1.5 hours. My arms were aching like crazy the next day, as we were fighting against the currents as we head back to shore. It was rather exciting, as our kayak hit the rocks and almost got caught with the fish nets at 1 point.

Conclusion: You can do a day trip for Batam. Yet to try cable ski. Batam doesn't boast very nice beaches. But I guess it's the company that makes it all the difference. The thing that made the seafood nice was the cheap price tag that came along, plus its freshness. They don't really know how to cook the seafood....wasted sia
