8am we checked into 'Raffles Hotel'
The 'room' is full of equipment, a bed and a toilet.
Fetal heart was being monitored.
Bowels were cleared with medication.
Abt 12, the water bag was burst.
Contractions soon started with very bad back pain.
I totally forgot abt the gas, but the gas wasnt tt effective.
Dun feel high, just feel giddy.
Abt 3pm, I then asked for epidural since nurse also say in distress
bb hard to come out and it could take longer.
The epi experience was truly amazing, it's like what i read in books:
i rem the doc came in, so scary, the back was painful
i breathe in gas and they asked me to curled into a C.
I kept on breathing until i feel giddy, my head keep shaking then i can
feel the shaking getting slower and slower and i know that i am losing it le.
But somehow the mind is stil clear. It was like in a dream, a scene from those books
which tel u exactly how it felt going into unconscious.
It was exactly like tt. Then i heard voices, i heard doc say, this is the time
she will be awake soon and i feel like i;m being sucked back into reality.
I know i;m drooling. I thot i rem something gets poked into the back.
I was waking up and they called my name.
And the first time i said : how cum i stil feel like urinating?
They say it's normal and it's done. Wow, just like tt.
I can feel the contractions but minus the pain. It was not total numbness as I thot.
U can feel the legs, can move abit, but no pain, can feel pressure.
Dilated to 6cm le... and doc say maybe ard 7+ can be done.
Soon it's 9+, stil not out, doc say it's weird and say I have to go for C.
And becoz i ate dinner, i cant zz it off.
Got pushed to OT, scared that will feel pain coz stil can move legs...
Side effects of epi, itchiness and shivering.
i kept my eyes closed, hoping to zz it off, the numbness is so uncomfy i cant zz well.
Then they pushed the tummy, push and push and i felt tugging at the tummy area.
They say it's done and aske dme if i wanna see her, i say i was too tired to see her.
But they stil hold it to me, hmm i cant rem much of her and then i closed my eyes again.
They oushed me somewhere, dunno wait for wat, then after tt got pushed back to ward.
They brot bb to me, i finally get to really see her.
But too tired le.
She came out on 2nd June 2010, at 2.71kg, 2110.
Alot say she looked like me... She has long legs =)
Chubby cheeks. She's cute.
We were told later the cord was ard her neck 3 rounds thus she was unable to descend.
C is indeed painful, having heartburn, wound is painful which makes u almost like an invalid.
Hope it pass soon.

Welcoming Adele Tan!

Hehe lemme post pix for our first princess of MKG. Let's welcome Adele Tan! Weighing in at 3.58kg, and the proud jewel of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Tan, she was welcomed into this world on the 26th of May 2010, right between the birthdates of Ah-ma and myself lol.

She was sleeping soundly before the noisy Peiyi managed to wake her up, and she peeped at us with her right eye, keep her left eye closed most of the time lol.

36th week

hmm she is only 2.88kg today, i was expecting close to 2.9 t0 3..
tt's good, at least it shd be a smooth natural burf....
wonder how i wld feel tt day....
def dun feel any excitement now..
just feel like eating kfc =)

35th Week and Anytime

2.75kg for her and surprisingly i've dilated 1-2cm....
so doc say cld be anytime, just wait for signs.
if not can still go according to plan ba

counting down counting down...
she is now 2.35 liao and yeah i gained abit only =)
2 more check ups then 2nd go hospital liao....
was shocked when i heard dilation happens abt 1 cm an hour!!! kmp
