Just wanna record something interesting that I learnt from my colleague. She was saying that breastfeeding can be done forever, so long as there is demand. That is, if the kid wants to be breastfed and the mother continues to latch the kid on to her breasts, the body will continue to supply milk. It just sounds like economics. Supply and demand! I didn't know this before. But she cautioned that this lowers the sex drive of the mother, and hence, the father may suffer from lack of sex life. Haha.

ReplyDeleteNevertheless, i wanna do a sharing on my observation of my colleague who does breastfeeding and she almost every 2 hours will go to the "sacred room" specially set aside for her to do the "collection" for her 1 yr old baby......she mentioned that she couldn't stop for more than 2 days....as it will stop the "production"....dun know if it is fact or myth....but maybe can check out with the doc yah..:P
my fren who just gave birth 2 months back shared with me that she will be stopping in 4 months time...becos her office dun have a room to do the collection.....sounds sad rite....and she refused to make food for her baby in the restroom....aiyoh......now she needs to save up for milk powder $$ man....
